Mykhailo Mudryk took to social media to thank Chelsea fans after they returned to winning ways on Wednesday night.
He thanked the fans in attendance at Stamford Bridge in an Instagram story, and those in attendance showed their appreciation for the star in return.
Mudryk’s start to the season has been rough, but he is beginning to improve.
He has started the last three games in a row in all competitions, despite being replaced in all of them.
Before being replaced, he had been the best player in Blue, especially in his past two appearances. His departure against Aston Villa was purely owing to the club being reduced to 10 men.
After another good performance against Brighton on Wednesday, the winger received a standing ovation as Raheem Sterling came on to replace him.
Mudryk sends a message to Chelsea supporters
In recent weeks, he has been extremely unlucky not to have some assists to his name, which has been a promising indication for supporters.
The Ukraine international took to Instagram to thank his fans and express how glad he was to have finally returned them to winning ways.
He continued: “So happy for our fans, that win was for y’all, y’all deserved this.”
Mudryk’s continued inclusion in the starting lineup for the forthcoming games appears to be a formality, with games often occurring once a week.
The next game will be a West London derby against Fulham on Monday night.
