An entry point into a deal featuring one of the world’s most lethal attackers has apparently been offered to Arsenal.
Victor Osimhen, a superstar for Napoli, has reportedly been offered to Arsenal in a deal, but it would cost money, according to sources. After delaying on that front during the previous summer transfer window, the Gunners are expected to be on the market for a striker in either January or next summer, at least in terms of an outright goalscorer.
Despite the fact that Arteta was able to secure Kai Havertz as a backup forward option, he ultimately opted to stick with Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus. But that might not be the case come January or the following summer, since Arsenal will probably need a goalscorer if they want to achieve their goal of dominating the major championships.
There have been rumors that Osimhen, a standout forward for Napoli, may leave the club next summer after an altercation with club management.
Osimhen apparently thought about taking legal action after being made fun of on the club’s TikTok channel, but nothing significant has been done in that direction as of yet. Osimhen has continued to play for Napoli in the interim, but it is rumored that the Italian club will sell him next summer after demanding well over £100 million from any and all interested parties.
Calciomercato claims that Napoli would be willing to trade Osimhen to Arsenal next summer, but only under one condition that Arteta would not be willing to agree to. According to reports, Napoli would demand Gabriel Jesus as part of the deal in addition to a significant transfer price, given that Osimhen is valued at more than £100 million while Arsenal only spent £50 million for Jesus.
Jesus has played a key role in Arteta’s game plan ever since he arrived at the Emirates Stadium, so it’s possible that he won’t be eager to make a move even if it meant acquiring one of the finest goal scorers in the world. Ivan Toney, who appears eager to leave Brentford this winter when his gambling suspension expires, has also been linked with a January move to Arsenal in the interim.
