Football guru Alejandro Moreno has criticized Chelsea captain Reece James for his injury woes.
James has had a string of chronic ailments at Chelsea in recent years, which have forced him to miss a large chunk of the season every year.
Moreno disagrees, but many still view the England international as a vital player in spite of his injury struggles.
“The most valuable player is by definition the MVP, and to be a player, you have to be on the field,” Moreno said in an ESPN interview.
“I don’t dispute with Sam the value of Reece James when he’s playing football.
But if he’s sitting in the stands, he doesn’t need me. He doesn’t give a damn if I play for Chelsea, work in the Chelsea front office, or am a part of the coaching staff.
