Nicolas Jackson, a forward for Chelsea, faced a disappointing moment after missing a clear opportunity and having a goal disallowed for offside against Crystal Palace.
Conor Gallagher delivered an excellent pass to set up Jackson for a scoring chance, but the striker failed to capitalize, much to the dismay of the visiting fans at Stamford Bridge. He attempted to chip the goalkeeper, Dean Henderson, but missed the target.
Jackson’s woes continued a minute later when he beautifully finished Thiago Silva’s cross, only for VAR to rule it out due to a very marginal offside call against his knee.
Fortunately for Jackson, Chelsea managed to secure a 2-1 win through a stoppage-time penalty from Noni Madueke, ensuring that the tough luck didn’t affect his teammates.
Under Mauricio Pochettino’s management, Chelsea initially took the lead with goals from Mykhailo Mudryk and later equalized by Michael Olise before securing the victory.
The win propelled Chelsea to the tenth position in the Premier League standings, while Palace finds themselves just three points clear of the relegation zone.
