Nkunku reflects on the significance of his inaugural start for Chelsea – walexsports.com
Nkunku shares his thoughts on the importance of making his first start for Chelsea.
During Chelsea’s 2-1 victory against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, Christopher Nkunku made his debut appearance for the team.
After playing for seventy minutes, the Frenchman was substituted off by Mauricio Pochettino.
Nkunku, who missed numerous games at the start of the season, expressed contentment with his performance. He described it as a truly excellent cameo.
Post-game, the forward stated, “It was a tough match, and we displayed a good performance.”
While feeling we could have scored more goals, securing the three points was the most crucial aspect.
“Personally, making my first start meant a lot to me. It’s been six months since I last started a game, which makes me incredibly happy. I feel good after the match, and more importantly, I have no issues, so we’re focused on improving.
“To improve, we need to give our best in every training session and match. Our team is young but highly talented, and together we’ll have to work hard to progress and thrive as a collective unit.”
