When his tenure as the coach of the England national team concludes, Gareth Southgate is untroubled by the idea of returning to club management.

Southgate left his club managerial position almost fifteen years ago, getting dismissed by Middlesbrough in 2009 after three seasons. Despite this, Southgate has found success, notably as the manager of the England Under-21 team before assuming the role of senior national team coach in 2016.

During his tenure, England achieved a remarkable turnaround in international results, reaching the World Cup semi-finals in 2018 and progressing to the Euro 2020 final. His current contract ends in 2024, with speculations that Euro 2024 might mark the conclusion of his tenure as the Three Lions’ head coach.

It is anticipated that Southgate would re-enter club management after his stint with England. In an interview with Sky Sports, he expressed no fear of the prospect, emphasizing his enhanced expertise as the national team’s coach. Southgate recalled conversations with figures like Jose Mourinho, who assured him of being equipped to handle any managerial position after his current role.

Despite uncertainty about his future, Southgate remains confident and untroubled, stating that he is not concerned about what the future holds and is comfortable with it.
