In the last couple of weeks, there has been a multitude of reports concerning Kylian Mbappe’s future at Paris Saint-Germain, with Real Madrid prominently in the mix for the forward.
However, speculations have also surfaced regarding Erling Haaland, a standout player for Manchester City, and Real Madrid would actively pursue the Norwegian if Mbappe opts to remain at PSG.
Reports from Spain emphasize that Haaland’s options remain open even if he doesn’t sign this summer. Recent rumors indicate that, in contrast to his potential move to other Premier League rivals, Haaland’s transfer to Real Madrid could be closer to €100 million rather than €200 million.
It’s reported that Real Madrid player Jude Bellingham has joined efforts to persuade Haaland to make the move, as per Cadena SER. Bellingham has engaged in discussions with Haaland, providing insights into the lifestyle at the Santiago Bernabeu, while Vinicius has also been regularly communicating with him about joining Los Blancos. English reports suggest that Manchester City is not concerned and does not fear losing Haaland.
Given that Haaland has a residence in Marbella and frequently spends summers in the area, convincing him to choose Spain may not be a challenging task. The potential obstacle, however, could be Mbappe, with Real Madrid seemingly confident that the French forward will ultimately join the Bernabeu.
Acquiring Haaland may necessitate the sale of Rodrygo Goes and Vinicius Junior, both under long-term contracts, who might resist leaving once Mbappe’s arrival is confirmed.
