It’s time to stop. Jamie Carragher criticizes Thiago Silva’s wife for her recent actions towards her husband, stating, “This isn’t the first time.”
Jamie Carragher has strongly criticized Belle, Thiago Silva’s wife, for publicly putting her husband in a difficult position with her recent social media outburst approximately a week ago.
Following Chelsea’s 4-2 Premier League defeat to Wolves at Stamford Bridge, Belle seemed to call for the immediate dismissal of manager Mauricio Pochettino, which clearly angered the Chelsea boss.
After discussing the matter with his defender, the Argentine left the 39-year-old out of last week’s 3-1 FA Cup victory against Aston Villa.
“Since joining Chelsea, Thiago Silva has shown that he is one of the best center-backs of his generation,” Carragher said on Sky Sports.
However, he’s currently under some pressure. He was left out of the Aston Villa game, which Chelsea won comfortably, and both of their center-backs performed admirably.
And he begins by reiterating his wife’s comments. When family members speak out, it reminds me of my playing days.
“No one should be publicly criticizing a manager, not even your brother, wife, or father.
Sometimes, an agent may disclose information about a player. This needs to stop because it’s inappropriate. This isn’t the first time it’s happened, and it’s put him in an uncomfortable position.
“He’s a fantastic footballer, but he’ll be attracting attention from elsewhere.” Thiago Silva’s age will eventually lead Chelsea to part ways with him.
On Monday night, Chelsea defeated Crystal Palace 3-1 with Thiago back in the starting lineup. However, the center-back was forced off the pitch early in the second half due to what appeared to be an injury.
