Following a challenging inaugural season with Manchester United, Erling Haaland from Manchester City has come forward in support of Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United.
Haaland commended Hojlund as a dependable player, noting his genuine potential and progression throughout the year.
Hojlund made a £64 million move to Manchester United from Atalanta in the summer of 2016.
The Danish international initially struggled to find his footing at Manchester United, taking several months to find his rhythm.
It wasn’t until Boxing Day that Hojlund netted his first Premier League goal for Erik ten Hag’s squad.
Ahead of Manchester City’s recent Champions League triumph over Copenhagen, Haaland commented on the 21-year-old, stating, “I believe he had a challenging start but has since shown significant improvement.
He’s a young player, much like myself, and I observed his quality when we faced each other. Despite my seniority now, I still consider myself young!”
Haaland emphasized the importance of Hojlund’s continued development, highlighting his responsibility as a striker for Manchester United to find the back of the net.
