Concerns arose about the fitness of the Manchester City striker when a video surfaced showing him limping during practice on Tuesday.
In preparation for upcoming challenging matches in Manchester, Pep Guardiola had advised caution and sent Haaland on assignment to Norway.
However, Haaland has since clarified that there is no injury, with Norway’s team doctor, Ola Sand, downplaying any worries.
Before the friendly match, Haaland stated in a press conference that he feels fine and completed a full training session, refuting claims of injury. Manager Stale Solbakken has assured that Haaland will start the game unless there is an injury.
During the press conference, Haaland was restricted by the Norwegian FA to only discuss matters related to Norway.
However, he diplomatically compared his fellow countryman Martin Odegaard to his City teammate Kevin De Bruyne, expressing enjoyment in playing with both.
Haaland also shared a light-hearted parting joke from Guardiola, who warned the City team not to return from the break fatigued, adding a smile to his words.
