Reece James has been highly praised by Manchester City captain Kyle Walker, who called the Chelsea player the “greatest right-back in the world.”
James, who made his first-team debut for Chelsea in September 2019, has established himself as one of the league’s top defenders despite ongoing injury issues.
Before his latest injury, James was also a regular for England, earning 16 caps and competing in Euro 2020.
However, he was unexpectedly left out of Gareth Southgate’s preliminary 33-man England squad for this summer’s Euros, having started only five Premier League games this season.
Walker believes James, the Chelsea captain, is the most “complete” right-back in global football. In response to a question about the best right-back in the world on the You’ll Never Beat Kyle Walker podcast, Walker named Reece James.
