Erling Haaland’s agent has emphatically stated that the striker is “1,000%” committed to Manchester City, dismissing ongoing rumors of a move to Real Madrid.
Since joining Manchester City in 2022, Haaland has made a significant impact, helping the club win two Premier League titles and a Champions League trophy in just two seasons.
Despite being only 23, Haaland has already played for five different clubs in his senior career.
Rafaela Pimenta, Haaland’s agent since Mino Raiola’s passing in 2022, is known for including release clauses in player contracts.
She has reiterated that only Haaland’s camp and Manchester City know the details of his release clause. While a future transfer isn’t ruled out, it’s not under consideration at the moment.
In an interview with Flashscore, Pimenta discussed Haaland’s future. “I don’t know if he will settle into being a one-club man,” she said, “but the Erling Haaland project will last over the next few years.”
She added that Haaland feels very at home at Manchester City, saying, “He is 1,000% committed to the City project and looks forward to the new season.”
Pimenta also highlighted Haaland’s value, suggesting he is worth more than €1 billion (£850 million) given his age, potential, and economic impact.
She clarified, “When I mentioned his value, I wasn’t talking about his transfer value but the overall value of a top player at his age.”
Pimenta praised Haaland’s marketability, work ethic, and focus, noting his lack of off-field controversies.
“His profile represents a huge value to sponsors and clubs, as well as in terms of shirt sales and media exposure. Everything Erling will earn over his career, I’m convinced it will exceed a billion.”
Haaland’s contract with Manchester City runs until 2027. When asked about extending his contract, Haaland was non-committal but positive.
“I’ve had two fantastic years and have three years left. That’s all I can say,” he told Norway’s TV2 earlier this month, reinforcing his focus on his current journey with Manchester City without immediate plans for departure.
