Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has reportedly agreed to personal terms with one of Saudi Arabia’s top clubs after being offered a lucrative two-year contract.
The 30-year-old Brazilian, who joined City from Benfica in 2017 for approximately £35 million, has played nearly 300 games for the Premier League champions.
During his time at City, he has won six league titles, two FA Cups, and the Champions League under manager Pep Guardiola, whom Ederson recently hailed as the best coach in football.
After seven successful seasons in Manchester, it now appears that Ederson may leave England this summer.
According to journalist Gianluigi Longari, Ederson has agreed to personal terms with Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr, and negotiations with Manchester City will follow.
Al Nassr is seeking a new goalkeeper following the departure of their first-choice shot-stopper, David Ospina.
They are reportedly willing to spend heavily to secure Ederson’s services, offering him €60 million (£51 million) over two years, equating to around £490,000 per week.
Last summer, Al Nassr signed several high-profile players, including Otavio, Sadio Mane, Aymeric Laporte, Seko Fofana, Marcelo Brozovic, and Alex Telles.
However, Mane might leave the club this summer, with Al Nassr considering a move for Aston Villa’s Moussa Diaby as a potential replacement.
