According to sources, Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez is nearing a summer move to Real Madrid, with the deal reportedly “on track.”
Pep Guardiola’s team secured their fourth consecutive Premier League title last season, finishing two points ahead of Arsenal, further cementing Guardiola’s status as one of the top managers in English football.
Despite rumors of his potential departure when his contract expires in 2025, Guardiola’s position remains strong.
However, there have been speculations about key players leaving this summer, including Alvarez, Jack Grealish, Ederson, Bernardo Silva, and Kevin de Bruyne.
Manchester City has lowered their asking price for Alvarez to £40 million, down from the previously reported £60 million, in an effort to sell the dissatisfied player before the end of August.
Alvarez has expressed frustration with his playing time under Guardiola and recently stated he would decide his future after the Olympics.
