Arsenal and Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Alexander Isak, the most expensive Champions League striker in history. The Swedish international joined Newcastle from Real Sociedad for a reported Β£63 million in 2022.
Arsenal are said to be long-term admirers of Isak, and they were interested in signing him before he joined Newcastle. However, they were unable to agree a deal with Real Sociedad.
Newcastle are also interested in keeping Isak, but they are aware that he may want to leave if they do not qualify for theChampions League. Isak is reportedly unhappy with Newcastle’s current position in the Premier League, and he believes that he can play at a higher level.
It is unclear whether Arsenal or Newcastle will be able to sign Isak. However, it is clear that both clubs are interested in strengthening their attacking options.
