Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly urging Pep Guardiola to allow one of Manchester City’s star players to join Real on loan by January. Ancelotti believes that, if City agrees to the loan for the £68 million talent, he could help Real Madrid challenge Barcelona for the league title.

Manchester City are reportedly eyeing Real Madrid’s Martin Zubimendi for a £58 million deal in January. Known for their strategic approach in the transfer market, City usually reserve their moves for the summer.

Even in the 2019/2020 season, when they lost the title to Liverpool, they opted not to bring in new players mid-season.

However, a recent report suggests that Pep Guardiola will meet with senior club officials to discuss a potential January move for Zubimendi. City are currently in strong contention to secure their sixth consecutive Premier League title, though Liverpool and Arsenal are close behind in the race.
