In a recent episode of his podcast, co-hosted with his brother Felix, retired Real Madrid legend Toni Kroos hinted at the possibility of rejoining his former club in some capacity in the future.
Kroos stunned the football world earlier this year when he announced his retirement following Germany’s home-hosted Euros.
The decision came during what many considered his peak, with the 34-year-old delivering arguably his best season since joining Real Madrid from Bayern Munich a decade ago for a modest fee.
Widely regarded as one of Germany’s greatest players of this century, Kroos enjoyed immense success with Real Madrid, helping the club secure record-extending 36th and 15th La Liga and Champions League titles.
However, his international career with Germany ended on a quieter note, with the team being eliminated by eventual champions Spain in the Euros quarterfinals.
Now retired, Kroos is focused on running a soccer academy in Madrid, where he has lived since 2014, and spending quality time with his family.
Despite his current commitments, Kroos recently expressed openness to working with Real Madrid again during his *Einfach mal Luppen* podcast.
“Although I am very busy with my projects right now, I would never rule out doing something at the club in the future, given my close connection to Madrid and my relationship with the club,” Kroos explained.
He added, “For now, stepping into a public role at the club is not something I am considering. But while I’m not claiming I will never work with Real Madrid again, I wouldn’t rule it out entirely. It depends on what the future holds.”
