Erling Haaland has faced Liverpool seven times across various competitions, beginning with his appearances for Red Bull Salzburg in the 2019-20 Champions League.
The Norwegian striker scored his first goal against Liverpool during a group-stage match at Anfield, netting an equalizer just four minutes after coming off the bench in a 4-3 defeat. However, he was unable to score in the reverse fixture, where Salzburg lost 2-0 in Austria.
After moving to Borussia Dortmund and later joining Manchester City in the summer of 2022, Haaland has struggled to make a consistent impact against Liverpool.
His only win over the Reds came in December 2022, during the EFL Cup fourth round, where he scored the opener in a 3-2 victory at the Etihad Stadium.
Haaland’s debut against Liverpool for City in the 2022-23 Community Shield was less successful, with Guardiola’s team losing 3-1 at the King Power Stadium, and the striker missing a late chance to score.

At Anfield, Haaland has neither scored nor won, recording one draw and one loss as a City player. However, he did find the net during a 1-1 draw at the Etihad against Liverpool in November 2023.
