Manchester United and Manchester City will not be signing Barcelona’s Dani Olmo during the January transfer window, despite recent speculation fueled by his agent’s visit to Manchester.
Andy Bara, a key figure at Niagara Sports, was seen in the city, prompting rumors of a potential transfer. However, Bara clarified that the trip was merely a holiday.
Barcelona has resolved Olmo’s registration issues, allowing him to be eligible for selection.
Previously, financial constraints had delayed the club’s ability to register Olmo and teammate Pau Victor, but a recent announcement confirmed the matter has been settled.
The earlier uncertainty surrounding Olmo’s registration raised concerns that he might leave the club.
Had Barcelona failed to register him, Olmo could have activated a contract clause permitting him to leave as a free agent, enabling a move to another team without a transfer fee.
Speculation also hinted at a possible loan deal to the Premier League, with Manchester United reportedly showing interest.
However, with Olmo now fully registered, a transfer to Manchester is no longer on the table.
Bara’s visit to Manchester initially sparked transfer rumors, but it appears to have been coincidental.
His agency, Niagara Sports, represents several notable Spanish players, including Alvaro Morata and former Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo.
With the registration resolved, any talk of a move has been quashed. Olmo can now shift his focus to contributing to Barcelona’s pursuit of success in La Liga and other competitions.
