In a dramatic FA Cup fourth-round clash, Manchester City narrowly triumphed over Leyton Orient with a 2-1 win.

The third-tier team took a surprise lead in the 16th minute when Jamie Donley’s long-range shot deflected off City’s goalkeeper, Stefan Ortega, resulting in an own goal.

City equalized in the 56th minute through a deflected effort from Rico Lewis, and the comeback was completed in the 79th minute when substitute Kevin De Bruyne netted the winner.

Throughout the match, Leyton Orient supporters mocked Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola with chants of “sacked in the morning.”

In response, Guardiola, who has won six Premier League titles since 2016, held up six fingers to the crowd, representing his league victories.

After the match, Guardiola addressed the taunts, saying, “I didn’t expect that at Anfield. I didn’t expect it from the people from Liverpool, but it’s fine. It’s part of the game, and I understand completely.”

Despite the tough match, Guardiola praised both teams, highlighting the unique and thrilling atmosphere of the FA Cup.

He also acknowledged Leyton Orient’s brave performance, emphasizing how cup football often produces unpredictable and exciting results.

Manchester City moves on to the next round, while Leyton Orient exits the competition with pride following a strong showing against the Premier League champions.
