Chelsea Supporters’ Trust Calls for Premier League Investigation into Todd Boehly’s Ties to Ticket Reselling
The Chelsea Supporters’ Trust (CST) has formally urged the Premier League to investigate co-owner Todd Boehly’s alleged involvement in the ticket resale platform, Vivid Seats. In an open letter addressed to Premier League chief executive Richard Masters, the CST expressed concerns over potential conflicts of interest and the impact on Chelsea fans.
The Trust has also submitted evidence to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) regarding Boehly’s reported links to Vivid Seats, a secondary marketplace where tickets are resold, often at inflated prices. Their letter highlights ethical and regulatory concerns, questioning whether a club owner’s connection to such a platform could compromise fair ticketing practices.
CST has demanded transparency, urging the league to clarify whether Boehly’s involvement breaches ownership regulations or the league’s integrity standards. The move follows increasing frustration among fans regarding ticket pricing and accessibility under Chelsea’s current ownership.
In response, the Premier League has yet to issue an official statement on the matter. However, if an investigation proceeds, it could lead to heightened scrutiny of ownership rules and potential reforms in ticketing policies across English football.
Chelsea fans now await a response from league authorities, hoping for decisive action to address theirconcerns.
