Arsenal is reportedly prepared to activate the £62 million release clause of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, to address their pressing need for a reliable goal-scorer.

The Gunners have been exploring various striker options, including Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko. However, Isak’s substantial £105 million valuation and Newcastle’s reluctance to sell have made this pursuit challenging. Similarly, while Sesko has been on Arsenal’s radar, the club appears to be prioritizing Osimhen due to his proven track record and a more attainable release clause.

Osimhen, 25, has been in prolific form during his loan spell at Galatasaray, netting 20 goals and providing three assists in 34 appearances this season. His goal-scoring prowess and ability to lead the line make him an attractive option for Arsenal, especially considering the team’s struggles with injuries to key forwards Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz.

The potential acquisition of Osimhen aligns with Arsenal’s strategic approach to bolster their attacking options without exceeding their financial constraints. While the club has been linked to high-profile targets like Isak, the more feasible £62 million investment in Osimhen presents a balanced solution to enhance their competitiveness in the Premier League.

In summary, Arsenal’s readiness to meet Victor Osimhen’s release clause underscores their commitment to strengthening their attacking lineup, opting for a proven, world-class striker over other potential candidates with higher financial implications.
