Graham Potter, a former manager of Chelsea, is poised to take over as the head coach of one of the largest clubs in the world.

Graham Potter, who was let go by Chelsea in April, is now prepared for an unanticipated job opportunity.

Todd Boehly let Graham Potter leave from Chelsea six months ago despite it seems like he was on the verge of making things better at Stamford Bridge.

Like Thomas Tuchel before him, Potter looked to be the target of the American owner’s trigger finger and was fired before he had really gotten going in his position.

We’ll simply have to wait and see what happens to Mauricio Pochettino, but given that his previous manner of operation was manifestly unworkable, Boehly has certainly already learned his lesson.

The six months Potter spent in a type of football wilderness will almost certainly have sharpened his concentration on what he intends to accomplish next, and it seems the 48-year-old has been presented with a surprise opportunity.

According to Foot Mercato, Potter is apparently on the list of Rudi Garcia’s replacements at defending Serie A champions Napoli.

The players have apparently grown tired of their manager, and the board has been requesting that Aurelio de Laurentiis fire Garcia, according to the source.

Marcelo Gallardo and Igor Tudor are also touted as Garcia’s potential replacements, so Potter will have competition for the job. Garcia will likely be let go after barely four months in charge.

If the former Chelsea star is the last man standing in this particular race, it will be a big victory.
