Szymon Marciniak will officiate the FIFA Club World Cup Final between Manchester City and Fluminense.
Manchester City, under Pep Guardiola’s leadership, seeks to secure their fifth trophy of the year by aiming for the World Champions title. The team previously claimed victory in the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, and Super Cup in 2023.
In their journey to the final, Manchester City, the triple champions, triumphed over Urawa Red Diamonds, securing a spot in the FIFA Club World Cup Final after scoring goals by Marius Hibrten (own goal), Mateo Kovacic, and Bernardo Silva.
On the other hand, Fluminense earned their place in the final by defeating Al Ahly 2-0 in the semi-finals and are set to face Manchester City in the Copa Libertadores final.
The appointed Match Official for the Club World Cup Final at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium is Szymon Marciniak, a Polish referee with experience in 23 matches across various competitions this season, issuing 103 yellow cards and one red card.
Marciniak previously officiated the FIFA World Cup Final and the UEFA Champions League Final, where City secured victory against Inter Milan. He will be joined by Assistant Referees Tomasz Listkiewicz and Adam Kupsik, with Jesus Valenzuela named as the Fourth Official.
In the final, the referee will monitor the conduct of both managers, Pep Guardiola and Fernando Diniz, along with the players’ behavior.
