Jack Grealish makes a significant decision for Manchester City following his harsh rejection from the England squad.
Ahead of the upcoming Premier League season, Grealish is moving past his omission from Gareth Southgate’s final 23-man roster for Euro 2024.
Despite a lackluster season with his club, Grealish was left out of the squad. Although disappointed, the selection of in-form players Cole Palmer and Anthony Gordon allowed him to focus on preparing for the new season with City.
Social media videos show the 28-year-old already training, even though the preseason hasn’t started yet.
According to The Mirror, Grealish has informed City he will return to training several days ahead of manager Pep Guardiola’s scheduled return.
Last season, Grealish struggled with injuries and often saw Belgian Jeremy Doku preferred on the left wing by Guardiola.
Grealish now has a chance to impress ahead of City’s first competitive match against Manchester United in the Community Shield during their preseason trip next month.
His determination to work harder shows he isn’t sulking over Southgate’s decision.
Grealish’s current goal is to get back on the field for his club, and it wouldn’t be surprising if he eventually returns to the international lineup.

The Three Lions’ Euro 2024 campaign has had a shaky start with a nerve-wracking victory against Serbia and a 1-1 draw with Denmark.
Many supporters believe Grealish should have been selected and that his presence would help address some of England’s current issues.
Having signed for £100 million in 2021, he remains City’s record signing and will undoubtedly be crucial to their future success.
