Ahead of Sunday’s encounter against Man City, which will be shown live on Sky Sports, Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka is hurt.
Bukayo Saka, who has started 87 of Arsenal’s Premier League games, may be questionable for Sunday’s game against Man City after limping off against Lens.
Prior to Sunday’s Premier League match, which will be shown live on Sky Sports, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta described forward Bukayo Saka’s injury as “a worry”.
Saka hobbled out while holding his leg on Tuesday night during Arsenal’s Champions League Group B match against Lens in France.
In the 34th minute, the 22-year-old was replaced by Fabio Vieira after assisting Gabriel Jesus’ game-winning goal. Vieira became the first player in the top five divisions in Europe to finish the season with five goals and five assists.
When asked about the injury by TV 2 Sport in Norway, Arteta responded, “It doesn’t look good.”
He tried to backheel a ball in the first half, Arteta continued. He felt something. It was powerful. He was in pain, so we had to take him out.
We don’t know anything more than that. We are worried since it was serious enough to keep him from participating in the rest of the game.
When asked whether Saka would be available to play City, Arteta responded, “I have no idea.” I’m not certain.
