GOOD NEWS: Mikel Arteta receives incredible boost from Gabriel Jesus and Jurien Timber ahead of West Ham vs. Arsenal.

With their stunning 5-0 victory against Sheffield United over the weekend, the Gunners will be confident going into this match. They will go to the competition’s quarterfinals if they win this game.

Martin Odegaard was rested last weekend due to injury, and he might be sidelined again for this game. Three players won’t be available, including Jurrien Timber, who will be out for several more months due to a prolonged injury.

The boss is greatly disappointed by the Dutchman’s absence because of the immense diversity that the former Ajax star offers.

The other two players that are out are Thomas Partey and Gabriel Jesus. Though Arteta will have to find a way forward without them for the time being, they should both return soon. Mohamed Elneny’s return to action is positive since he can relieve some of the midfield’s workload.

    What Arsenal Fever Thinks:

The north Londoners have advanced to the finals of the Carabao Cup before, but they haven’t taken home the trophy in a long time. Although winning the Premier League or the Champions League is Arteta’s primary goal, he would still like to add this trophy to his collection.

Although facing West Ham is never easy, the Hammers seem to have found their footing again this season following the loss of Declan Rice. They have more than enough skill to damage the visitors, even though their former captain is unlikely to start against them.

With Eddie Nketiah looking so good, the Gunners will be eager to see the Englishman score once more. One thing to watch out for is how the hosts’ physically built squad will employ Kai Havertz’s aerial prowess.

This season, Arsenal has a good chance to add another trophy to their collection, but they can’t get too comfortable against West Ham. The North Londoners should move on to the next round if they can play with their typical ease.
