After the contentious Anthony Gordon goal, the FA ultimately agreed with Arsenal and decided to punish Newcastle for using VAR to cheat on Arsenal. Stan Kroenke, the owner of Arsenal, approved of the idea and plans to implement it TODAY.

In an attempt to strengthen his midfield, Mikel Arteta plans to corner Newcastle United’s pursuit of Ruben Neves.

Arsenal’s long-standing interest in Neves might be boosted by a newly proposed Premier League rule, according to talkSPORT.

teams will vote next week on whether or not to forbid teams from loaning out players who are part of their own ownership group.

Furthermore, a loan would not be feasible because the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund owns both Newcastle and Neves’ Saudi Arabian team, Al-Hilal.

The narrative is that Neves, who was formerly connected to Arsenal, has long been adored by Edu Gaspar.

It seems that Arsenal is starting to realize that they will not be able to depend on Thomas Partey going forward.

Partey is a brilliant man, but he gets injured way too often.

Arsenal has options, as evidenced by the current connections to Douglas Luiz of Aston Villa, who would be a very sensible addition.

Arsenal’s midfield, which is in dire need of talent, would benefit greatly from the signing of either Luiz or Neves, who have comparable profiles.

Ruben Neves would be a good addition for Arsenal to Arteta in January.

Given that many feel Neves has unfinished business, seeing him return to the Premier League at the Emirates would excite Arsenal supporters.

The Portuguese international still has a lot of excellent years ahead of him at age 26.

The largest obstacle for Arsenal would be if Newcastle decided to go after the midfield player on a permanent basis.

The team will be aware of its FFP limitations in the upcoming window, just like Arsenal.

There is definitely a great opportunity for all elite clubs in Europe if “iconic” Neves is prepared to leave his new club, but it will definitely come at a cost.

How busy Arsenal will be in January following a methodical summer of activity is still to be determined.

If Neves is valued at £45 million, though, Arteta and Arsenal might decide that the offer is too good to refuse.
