Harry Kane opines that there’s a striker superior to Erling Haaland.
Former manager Harry Redknapp holds the belief that Harry Kane, formerly of Tottenham Hotspur and currently with Bayern Munich, surpasses Manchester City’s Erling Haaland in terms of striking prowess.
Both players concluded the last Premier League season as the top two scorers, establishing themselves as top-notch center-forwards in Europe.
Redknapp recently shared his perspective on the two prolific players, asserting that Kane excels over Haaland.
Speaking on Chris Cowlin’s YouTube channel, Redknapp stated, “Harry Kane is the best centre-forward in the world, no matter what anyone says, he’s better than Haaland. He’s a fantastic all-around player, as evidenced by his performance in Germany.”
Considering Redknapp’s history as a former manager at Spurs and the individual who provided Kane with his senior debut at the North London club, it’s understandable that he holds a soft spot for the English striker.
Looking back at their previous season, Haaland netted 36 goals in 35 Premier League matches, while Kane scored 30 times in 38 games.
Man City and Pep Guardiola had attempted to secure Kane’s services for £100 million in 2021, indicating the club’s acknowledgment of his exceptional talent.
Since joining Bayern, Kane has netted 22 goals in 18 appearances across all competitions ahead of their Bundesliga game against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Despite the opinion of who might be the superior striker, what truly matters for City fans is Haaland’s ability to maintain consistent goal-scoring, potentially leading Guardiola’s side to more trophies.
