Chelsea plans to let go of seven players as part of Mauricio Pochettino’s efforts to elevate the club’s position as a genuine contender for the title.
The decision follows a series of losses that have seen Chelsea drop to the 12th position, amplifying the pressure on Pochettino. Despite support from the club’s owners, Pochettino aims to revamp the team, requiring changes to the current squad in the near future.
Names such as Noni Madueke, Marc Cucurella, and Armando Broja may be offloaded to create space for incoming, higher-caliber players during upcoming transfer windows.
The primary focus is on securing a striker, with Victor Osimhen identified as the main target. However, prompt agreements may pose challenges, potentially leading to significant expenditures to bolster the team for a stronger performance in the second half of the season.
