Manchester United, while focusing on the ongoing transfer window, have their sights set on the upcoming summer window, coinciding with Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s complete takeover. The Red Devils are eyeing Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise as a prime target. Reports from the Daily Star indicate that United is willing to propose a player-plus-cash deal, offering Aaron Wan-Bissaka in exchange for Olise.
Although United had a decent season previously, they’ve faltered in the current one, prompting anticipated squad overhauls next summer following Ratcliffe’s £1.2 billion takeover. Olise has been under United’s radar, being among their top transfer prospects for the summer of 2024.
As per the report, Olise signed a contract earlier this season that contains a release clause set to activate next summer. While the exact figure is undisclosed, it’s anticipated to be close to doubling the previous £35 million clause.
In an attempt to strengthen their position in securing Olise, United is prepared to include Wan-Bissaka in a player-plus-cash deal. Palace is keen on reacquiring the 26-year-old defender who initially moved to United in 2017 for £50 million.
