Arsenal’s Takehiro Tomiyasu and Ben White are currently engaged in “advanced” contract extension talks, with an imminent deal on the horizon, as reported by Fabrizio Romano of GIVEMESPORT.

The Gunners have prioritized securing the futures of key players, and Romano indicates that both Tomiyasu and White will follow suit. Tomiyasu’s contract runs until the summer of 2025, while White’s extends to the next season, and their impressive performances for Arsenal are expected to be rewarded with extensions.

In line with Arsenal’s recent trend of securing player contracts, prominent figures like William Saliba, Gabriel Martinelli, and Bukayo Saka have inked new deals in the past year. The focus has now shifted to Tomiyasu and White, with discussions progressing positively. Dharmesh Sheth, a Sky Sports writer, reveals that Tomiyasu, the Japanese international acquired for £22 million in 2021, is in promising talks with Arsenal management, and no hurdles in the extension process are anticipated.

Although Tomiyasu hasn’t consistently held a starting role, the 25-year-old has proven his utility in Mikel Arteta’s squad, making 73 appearances across all competitions since joining three years ago. With Tomiyasu’s current deal set to expire in 18 months, expediting the extension process could be advantageous for Arsenal in the long run.

White, a crucial component of Arteta’s team, is also in the spotlight for contract talks. The defender’s contentment and assurance with his deal at the Emirates Stadium are crucial for Arsenal. Having featured in nearly every Premier League game this season, White’s significance in bolstering the Gunners’ backline is evident.

Fabrizio Romano’s latest update underscores Arsenal’s commitment to renewing key players’ contracts, with Tomiyasu and White positioned high on the renewal agenda at the Emirates Stadium. This proactive approach aligns with Arsenal’s desire to secure the services of integral players for the foreseeable future.
