After recovering, Chelsea faced a resounding defeat at Anfield, serving as a wake-up call for the team. Liverpool dominated the entire game on Merseyside, leaving Chelsea and their fans disheartened.

In the 23rd minute, Diogo Jota scored, providing Liverpool with an early lead. Jota skillfully maneuvered between Thiago Silva and Benoit Badiashile, securing the advantage for the Reds at Anfield.

Shortly after, Conor Bradley extended Liverpool’s lead to 2-0. Bradley exploited the open space on the right side, delivering a precise shot into the bottom corner, exposing Chelsea’s defensive vulnerabilities.

Despite a missed penalty by Darwin Nunez just before halftime, Mauricio Pochettino made three halftime substitutions, aiming to change the dynamics. However, Liverpool maintained control in the second half, with Dominik Szoboszlai adding a third goal past Djordje Petrovic.

Christopher Nkunku responded for Chelsea, but Luis Diaz quickly restored Liverpool’s comfortable lead. It was a disheartening night for Chelsea and their fans. Bobby Vincent provided player ratings, evaluating each player’s performance.

Darwin Nunez had early chances, but Djordje Petrovic made crucial saves. Luis Diaz posed a challenge for Axel Disasi, and the defense, including Thiago Silva and Benoit Badiashile, struggled against Jota’s scoring.

Ben Chilwell faced defensive challenges, and Moises Caicedo’s mistake contributed to Liverpool’s second goal. Enzo Fernandez and Conor Gallagher had limited impact, while Raheem Sterling faced hostility from the home fans.

Cole Palmer operated as a false nine but failed to stand out. Mykhailo Mudryk missed a significant chance after coming on. Christopher Nkunku impressed with a precise shot, and Malo Gusto contributed positively. Carney Chukwuemeka played a crucial role in Nkunku’s goal.

Cesare Casadei came on late, making no substantial impact on the game. The overall performance highlighted Chelsea’s struggles and left room for improvement in future matches.
