According to The Sun, Manchester United is willing to admit that allowing De Gea to depart was a mistake. Although he is currently without a club, efforts are being made to bring the 32-year-old back to Manchester.
De Gea set the Red Devils’ all-time record for clean sheets during his previous 12-year tenure, amassing 545 appearances.
With Onana set to depart for an international tournament in January, United is hoping that De Gea will agree to a temporary return.
