Players and managers have come together to show their support for Manchester City’s Jack Grealish following the saddening news confirmed this evening. 😒

On Tuesday night, during Manchester City’s FA Cup match against Luton Town, Jack Grealish appeared to be in discomfort as he limped off the Kenilworth Road pitch. Despite starting in the game, the English winger was forced to leave before halftime due to a new injury.

Grealish had the opportunity to feature in Manchester City’s impressive 6-2 victory over Luton Town, but his game was cut short due to the injury. He watched the remainder of the match from the bench, visibly disappointed, and received support from his teammates.

The latest updates on Grealish’s injury status and potential return date for Manchester City can be found here.

Grealish appeared to pull up with a muscle strain shortly after the half-hour mark at Kenilworth Road, possibly while attempting a pass with his right foot. He was substituted just before halftime, with Jeremy Doku taking his place on the field.

Following the game, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola confirmed that Grealish had sustained a groin injury. Guardiola stated, “I didn’t speak to doctors but I think he complained a bit about the groin.” Despite feeling good initially, Grealish unfortunately suffered another injury early in the match.

Having recently returned from an injury sustained in Manchester City’s Champions League match against Copenhagen in mid-March, Grealish may now face another spell on the sidelines, depending on the severity of his latest injury.

The timeline for Grealish’s recovery is uncertain at this stage, and Manchester City’s medical team will need to conduct further tests to determine the extent of the injury. Guardiola will be hoping for a swift recovery for Grealish, as Manchester City have important fixtures against Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal coming up before the end of March.
