Reports from football.london suggest that Saudi Pro League clubs are gearing up to make offers exceeding Β£100 million to secure the services of Chelsea’s standout player in a sensational summer move.

Despite swirling rumors linking him to a potential move to Saudi Arabia, Raheem Sterling remains steadfast in his loyalty to Chelsea. Last summer, the Saudi Pro League expressed keen interest in the 29-year-old, but Sterling opted to stay put after a challenging debut season with the Blues. Despite the setbacks, Sterling managed to notch nine goals during the 2022-23 campaign, tying with Kai Havertz as Chelsea’s top scorer across all competitions.

Having logged 2,668 minutes on the pitch for Chelsea this season, Sterling has contributed eight goals and six assists. The winger, who has previously plied his trade with Manchester City and Liverpool, continues to encounter skepticism from some Chelsea supporters.

As the summer transfer window approaches, Saudi Arabia’s interest in Sterling is reportedly reignited. However, Sterling remains resolute in his commitment to Chelsea, dismissing any notions of a departure at present. The England international, born in Jamaica, boasts 82 caps for the Three Lions and remains aligned with Chelsea’s long-term vision, bound by contract until 2027.

Sterling’s goal tally for Chelsea this season places him behind only Cole Palmer (12) and Nicolas Jackson (11). Nevertheless, the unwarranted boos directed towards Sterling by sections of the Chelsea faithful have left manager Mauricio Pochettino puzzled.

Addressing the media recently, Pochettino expressed bewilderment at the booing incidents, stating, “Someone mentioned to me that Sterling was jeered against Leeds United, but I didn’t hear it. It doesn’t make sense to me; I’ve only been here nine months.”
