Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is reportedly set to make an appearance in a French film slated for release in April 2025.
The French World Cup champion, currently serving a four-year suspension from sports following a failed drugs test during Juventus’ opening game against Udinese in February, denies any intentional violation of anti-doping standards. Pogba, adamant in his defense, vows to contest the ruling.
Despite his suspension, the 31-year-old seems to be keeping himself occupied. According to French outlet Le Parisien, Pogba was spotted filming in Paris, assuming the role of a young team football coach in the movie ‘4 Zeros’, a sequel to the successful French film ‘3 Zeroes’.
The filming reportedly took place at the Parc Stadium in Rueil-Malmaison, where Pogba appeared relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera.
The film revolves around an ambitious player from the Comoros aspiring to become a PSG star, while a scout searches for the next Kylian Mbappe. Pogba’s involvement in the project signifies a departure from his troubled tenure at Juventus since leaving Manchester United in 2022.
Hindered by injuries, Pogba’s playing time has been limited, with only 161 minutes in his first season back and a mere 52 minutes this season before his suspension.
Pogba’s suspension stems from a positive test for DHEA, a substance that can naturally elevate testosterone levels.
Despite requesting a B-sample test, which also returned positive, Juventus is contemplating terminating his contract. Nonetheless, Pogba remains determined to clear his name and is exploring opportunities beyond the football pitch, including his upcoming role in the French film.
