According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City has rejected a £25 million offer for their “great” talent. City is reportedly unhappy with Al-Nassr’s latest bid for one of their key players.
Since Pep Guardiola’s tenure began in 2016, City has maintained a straightforward selling policy: players can leave if the buying club meets their valuation.
Despite the current dissatisfaction with the offered amount, City will continue negotiations to secure the best deal for all parties.
Last Tuesday, it was reported that Al-Nassr aimed to finalize a deal for Ederson Moraes within a week.
The Saudi Pro League team already boasts top players like Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic, Aymeric Laporte, and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Andy Townsend described Ederson as “amazing,” and City’s official X account shared a preseason training photo of him.
Romano stated that City “won’t accept this amount,” rejecting Al-Nassr’s initial €30 million (£25.2 million) offer for Ederson.
Although the 30-year-old has agreed to join Al-Nassr, City is asking for more than €50 million (£42 million) to let him go.
Romano mentioned that the deal now depends on the negotiations between the two clubs. City should stand firm in their valuation of Ederson, one of the world’s top goalkeepers.
If Al-Nassr refuses to meet their price, City should either keep Ederson or sell him to a more suitable buyer.
