Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne will reject a lucrative £1 million per week offer to join Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia this summer.
After discussing the move with his family, the Belgian decided to stay with the Premier League champions.
Laurent Blanc, Al-Ittihad’s manager, had expressed optimism about signing De Bruyne.
However, according to the UK Mirror, the midfielder will remain with Pep Guardiola’s team for at least another year due to concerns about leaving his family behind.
De Bruyne and his wife, Michele, have particular reservations about changing their son Mason Milian’s education. The 33-year-old is also approaching the final 12 months of his current contract.
