Chelsea will face Liverpool at Anfield later this month without key defenders Marc Cucurella and Wesley Fofana, who are both suspended after receiving their fifth yellow cards of the season.
This will force manager Enzo Maresca to make adjustments to his lineup for the challenging match against the Premier League leaders.
In defense, Tosin Adarabioyo is the favorite to replace Fofana at center-back alongside Levi Colwill, though Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile are other options.
At left-back, while Ben Chilwell could return, new signing Renato Veiga, who impressed with a goal in Chelsea’s recent 4-2 win over Gent, is more likely to start.
Maresca may also consider further changes, with Romeo Lavia available again after injury and a potential replacement for the underperforming Enzo Fernandez.
In attack, Pedro Neto could take advantage of Noni Madueke’s inconsistent performances, and Christopher Nkunku may be preferred over Nicolas Jackson.
Chelsea will need to be at their best to take on Liverpool, who are in top form with six wins from seven games this season.
