“I want to play for Mikel ARTETA, Pep Guardiola is a baby COACH AND keeps benching me, I have just started one game this season-Another Manchester City player has shown interest in joining Arsenal in January’: Arteta met with the player, and personal terms have already been negotiated – Here we go soon

The latest information regarding Thomas Partey’s ongoing thigh injury has caused Arsenal to reassess its transfer priorities for the forthcoming January window.

The midfield player, according to sources, has had a “procedure,” which is expected to keep him sidelined for the rest of the season and cast doubt on his availability for Ghana at AFCON 2024. Partey’s persistent muscle problems have already caused him to miss ten games this season, which has caused Arsenal to reassess their winter transfer plan.

Arsenal’s priorities have apparently shifted, and they are now aiming to bolster their midfield rather than continuing their original plan to add another striker to expand their attacking options. Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi, who Arsenal had previously followed during the summer, is the target of their utmost interest. Arsenal’s pursuit of the 24-year-old has accelerated after his impressive performance against Benfica in the Champions League. But with Zubimendi’s €60 million (£52.3 million) release clause and Bayern Munich and Barcelona showing increasing interest, the assignment might be difficult.

Apart from Zubimendi, Arsenal could consider adding Gabriel Moscardo, who is eighteen years old, to their midfield. Chelsea, Everton, and Liverpool are among the Premier League teams that have taken notice of the young talent. Despite his advanced age, Moscardo has already made 33 appearances in a variety of competitions this 2022–2023 season, making him a viable and affordable addition to Mikel Arteta’s team.

Kalvin Phillips is another name that should be included. He has had a difficult time at Manchester City because of injuries and fierce competition. Even with his restricted playing time at City, Phillips is still an important member of Gareth Southgate’s England starting lineup. Similar to his ongoing work with Kai Havertz, Arteta might see Phillips as a player to assist him recapture his greatest form. Given the situation, Phillips’ departure from Manchester City in January seems imminent.

With Thomas Partey out for an extended period of time, Arsenal’s initial aspirations to acquire a new striker have been temporarily shelved as they navigate these prospective midfield additions. Arsenal’s priority is now to fortify the midfield as they try to deal with Partey’s persistent injury problems.
